Biography
Pierre Giovenazzo, holds a doctorate in veterinary science from the Université de Montréal (Varroa integrated control strategies). He is a professor in the Department of Biology at Université Laval and held a 2016-2021 Leadership Chair in Bee Science Education. His recent research focuses on honey bee selection and reproduction, pollination services, honey bee nutrition and Varroa integrated pest management strategies. He was vice-president of the Canadian Association of Professional Beekeepers (2014-2017) and is a member of various national and international beekeeping stakeholder associations. He was president of the 46th Congrès Apimondia 2019 Montréal.
